‘Construction work often results in the disappearance of a piece of nature. It is our duty to replace that in, on, or around the building.’

Green surroundings make people happy and healthy. But wherever we build as architects, a piece of nature often disappears. How can we replace that? In the building? On the building? Around the building? That fascinates me. That’s what makes me so interested in sustainability.

Esther studied architecture at TU Delft and especially loves working on conceptually powerful, green buildings and areas. Her fascination with greenery grew through her work for the celebrated ecological designer Ken Yeang. She works on a broad spectrum of projects at LIAG, with a deep appreciation of sustainability and care for the well-being of users.
